Meeting the Upgrader
John 1:29-42

  1. No more absolute models.
Not that he might offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary with blood that is not his own; if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly from the foundation of the world. But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages to take away sin by his sacrifice. (Hebrews 9:25-26)
  1. Check his confirmation number.
When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized; and while He prayed, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased." (Luke 3:21-22)
  1. Who da lamb?
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5)
  1. What's your MO?
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God mush believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)
  1. Getting personal.
So when Jesus heard these things, He said to hi,, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." But when he heard this, he because very sorrowful, for he was very rich. (Luke 18:22-23)
  1. Get your first upgrade.
Then He spoke a parable to them; "No one puts a piece from a new garment on an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old. "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. "But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. (Luke 5:36-38)
